Split-step, chasse, lunge
Legal, consistent serve
Controlled contact
Lift and clear
Safe mini-match
Scoring & boundaries
BEFORE PROGRESSING
By the end of F3 a student can serve reliably, rally 8–10 shots, move front, back and side, use clear and lift purposefully, play a basic singles game and show sportsmanship.
F1
I can move, hold, hit and enjoy badminton.
F2
I can control the shuttle and move to it.
F3
I can rally, recover and start making decisions.

Foundation athletes building court confidence and racket technique
Students are scored 1 to 4 — Beginning, Developing, Competent, Advanced — across five dimensions: technical, movement, tactical, mental and social, and competition. Week 4 is a formal development check and week 8 is an assessment and gala. There is no pass or fail: a level reads Completed, Developing, or Ready for the next one.

Trio Academy • Cohort 3
Every level uses the same architecture, so coaches deliver consistently — and a child always knows what is coming next.
Movement quality, coordination and agility. The whole time slot warms up together before splitting into level groups.
Technical and tactical instruction on the week's skill — grip and contact at Foundation, opponent adaptation at Performance.
Convert technique into enjoyable decision-making — a target, a zone or a rally ladder.
Apply skill under pressure. Cooperative 2v2 at Foundation 1, full 21-point matches by Competition 3.
An individual or team challenge: ten controlled hits, five consecutive lifts, or the longest rally.
Feedback, assessment and recognition. Every session closes by naming what each student improved that day.

Kids learn, compete, make friends and become better players on the weekend.
